Six ways George keeps books clean all year.

Transactions sorted daily, accounts matched nightly, monthly close summaries, plus the January year-end package your CPA needs.

Transaction sorting

As soon as a transaction reaches your account, it receives a category. George combines merchant details, transaction codes, and your spending habits to place each item on the proper chart-of-accounts line.

Rule-based tools need manual configuration. George instead learns from your edits. Recategorize a vendor once, and that choice applies to later transactions from the same merchant.

  • Fits transactions to your current chart of accounts
  • Vendor learning: corrections remain saved
  • Sends unclear transactions for one-click review rather than guessing

Account matching

Each night, George matches your accounts. It checks your recorded transactions against the bank statement balance and points out differences for review. Mismatches no longer wait three months to be found.

Monthly matching reports verify that your books agree with your real bank balances, so you always have a dependable financial view.

  • Automatic nightly matching for every connected account
  • Discrepancy alerts arrive now, not at month-end
  • Works with checking, savings, and credit cards

AP/AR watch

See both your receivables and payables at once. George follows unpaid invoices, or accounts receivable, and forthcoming bills, or accounts payable, alongside bank activity for a complete cash flow view.

AP/AR tracking comes with Business and Growth plans. It helps service businesses, freelancers serving multiple clients, and businesses handling recurring vendor payments.

  • Aging groups for unpaid invoices
  • Bill reminders informed by your payment history
  • Links payments to invoices as they clear

Monthly close

Your close report arrives on the first day of each month. It uses everyday language rather than accounting terms and covers monthly income, category expenses, net result, and unresolved items needing attention.

Click once to approve and lock the month. Your books stay current and orderly without a dedicated work session.

  • Auto-generated P&L and balance sheet
  • Category details compared month over month
  • One-click sign-off closes the month

Tax exports

Generate a polished book export whenever you need one. It includes categorized transactions, a profit and loss statement, and expense receipts, all labeled and arranged for your accountant.

Business and Growth plans include QuickBooks-compatible export, letting your CPA bring records straight into their current workflow.

  • CSV, PDF, and QuickBooks-compatible formats
  • Full year or custom date range
  • Pre-labeled for common tax lines

Year-end tax package

Every January, George prepares a complete year review: all 12 monthly close reports summarized, possible deductions identified from expense categories, and a checklist to help your CPA finish your tax filing quickly.

Growth plan businesses receive a dedicated account review call. An advisor reviews the year-end package with you before you give it to your accountant.

  • Full-year P&L and category summary
  • Possible deduction alerts: home office, vehicle, meals, software
  • Plain-language CPA checklist
