In 2023, Anuj Saigal and Marcus Webb had spent years creating back-office automation for fintech clients. It performed well, but assumed an accounting-trained person was operating it. Small business owners had no such person. A cafe processing 300 transactions monthly without an IT team was excluded by design.
HiGeorge serves businesses in between: too busy to neglect their books, yet too small to hire someone to manage them. The AI handles daily categorization and reconciliation. The owner checks and approves a monthly summary. That is the entire interaction.

CEO & Co-founder
Anuj Saigal spent several years in fintech creating back-office automation products for mid-market businesses before focusing on small business owners still doing that work manually. He started HiGeorge after seeing that tools built for larger operations were out of reach for businesses with fewer than 20 employees.
Marcus Webb
CTO & Co-founder
Marcus Webb previously created distributed systems and data pipelines at a financial infrastructure company. His work reached the transaction processing layer for many small business accounts. He co-founded HiGeorge to bring that infrastructure experience to a product business owners could use themselves.
Sofia Reyes
Head of Customer Success
Sofia Reyes joined HiGeorge after years of working directly with small business owners on their financials. She has helped owners in retail, food service, and professional services understand and act on their books. At HiGeorge, she leads the team that helps each new customer set up correctly and use what George produces each month.
